Mother’s Day Gift Guide for the New Mom
Updated March 5, 2020.
Mother’s Day is almost here! Being a mom is absolutely the best, but it’s hard work too. I hope your family members have something sweet and special planned to celebrate YOU this Mother’s Day! If you’re a new mom and your family members are a little clueless on what to get you–things that you actually need, want and will use–we’ve got you covered! This is our Mother’s Day Gift Guide for the New Mama!
Pajamas and Robe
As moms, we live in our pajamas. At least I do. I swear, I bathe and dress up my son daily while I am still in my pjs and robe and have not showered. So if I’m going to be in my pjs all day my pajamas better be comfortable and cute! These cute pajamas sets paired with a comfy robe are lounging favorites during pregnancy and new motherhood! They are perfect to wear on Mother’s Day while daddy and the kids make you breakfast in bed. 😉
With her pajamas and robe, she also needs a nice pair of slippers. A good pair of house shoes is always a good idea, and these slippers are too cute to pass up.
Photo BookBuy Now
There is nothing like receiving a custom photo book filled with pictures of the ones you love. For someone to take the time to put it together just for her, I promise it will leave her speechless and will be a favorite for years to come.
New Mom Care Package
What new mom doesn’t need a little rest and alone time? I love this New Mom Care Package because it’s the perfect way to provide some pampering for any of the mom in your life. This gift box contains a lavender eye mask, Keep Calm aromatherapy oil, Restore: Postpartum Healing bath bomb and “You got this, mama!” greeting card on which you can add a personalized message to be typed on the back of the card.
A Daily Cup of Wellness
More than likely a new mom is warming up her already cold coffee and has done this several times throughout the day. Her body’s needs fluctuate day-to-day depending on her quality of sleep, diet and overall well-being. Give her the gift of this wellness blend that is specifically designed for moms in their motherhood journey. It’s a daily supplement that is pleasantly spicy and slightly sweet that she can add to her coffee, latte, warm milk or water. I’ve tried it myself and it’s delicious! Rae’s Roots use a special group of quality herbs in their Essentials Blend that give moms the energy, focus, and immune support she needs. They’re all about moms’ wellbeing. Because when moms take care of themselves everybody wins. What better gift than wellness. 🙂
New Mom Wine Labels
It’s been 9 months since this lady has had wine! She deserves a bottle. Buy her one of her favorite bottles of wine (or two) along with these hilarious Mommy Milestone Wine Labels. They are the perfect thing for her to celebrate each parenting milestone.
Mom Life: A Snarky Adult Coloring Book
Now this gift idea is just funny. 🙂 I think a lot of moms love the relaxing hobby of coloring. I know I do! If she is spending time coloring with her older kiddos while the littlest is napping, this #MomLife coloring book will be sure to give her a smile.
Custom Family Tree Print
There’s something about knowing your family history and your ancestors as soon as you have a baby. Now that she has just added to her family tree, memorialize it with a beautiful custom family tree print.
I love how a locket can keep pictures of the ones you love close to your heart. These beautiful lockets can also be engraved for a personalized touch. This piece is something that she can wear with any look, dressed up or casual.
Baby Book and Baby Milestone Cards
I think this baby book and baby milestone cards are gorgeous! They may not be specifically for the new mom, but these are things that she will love and appreciate as she watches her baby grow.
Buy Carrier Now
Thank God for babywearing! When you wear your baby your baby is happier and you are happier because you are still able to get things done with both hands and your baby gets to stay close to you. This is why a carrier is seriously an amazing gift to give a new mom.
The one I’m wearing is the K’tan Breeze Carrier. It’s super simple to put on, it’s easy to throw in your diaper bag, it offers 5 different wearing positions for the various ages and stages of baby’s development, and it’s approved as hip-healthy by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. It gets hot in the summer so this half mesh knit and half jersey knit helps provide good airflow and keep mom and baby cool.
