I know some pretty incredible women. A few of those women are the ladies I get to work with at both of my companies, Baby Chick and Bassett Baby Planning (BBP). At BBP, one of the great doulas I have on my team is Susan. When Susan told me she was pregnant for the second time (with another baby girl), I knew I had to do something special for her. Ever since I met Susan, she has been highly supportive of my companies and me and has helped me however she could. She is phenomenal, so I told her I wanted to throw her a sprinkle-themed baby shower to celebrate her and her baby.
When planning Susan’s shower, I took the whole “baby sprinkle” and did a sprinkle-themed baby shower for this new baby girl. While searching through Pinterest, I found the CUTEST look for a sprinkle-themed baby shower. I decided to use this as my design for her shower.
Find the Perfect Place
Then, I needed to find a location. Of course, it had to be a cute bakery since it was all about sprinkles! I thought of an adorable little dessert boutique near Susan’s house called Ooh La La Dessert Boutique. I knew they had a great private room we could reserve, so I called the next day and booked the space. Check!

Gather the Right Materials
I then went to Michael’s and got all the materials needed to make everything for the sprinkle-themed baby shower. Luckily, I have another awesome doula on my team, Mary Alice, who helped me cut, glue, glitter, and more to prepare everything for the big day. Mary Alice is an angel, and I can’t thank her enough for her help. 🙂 After all the crafting that we got done, we were ready for the big day!
Decorate and Design the Space
A warning: Ooh La La allows 30 minutes to set up before a party. I called the day before to ensure there wasn’t a party before ours so I could get there earlier. There was no way I could get it all done in 30 minutes. They are pretty strict about their 30-minute policy, but luckily, I didn’t have much of a problem getting there ahead of time.
We were ready to go once all the decorations and food were up and out!

Susan and her husband, Vincent, planned to name their baby girl Lorelai. I LOVE the name! I thought it would be so cute to have a banner with their baby girl’s name at the entrance as people walked in.
The private room at Ooh La La has a large table you can use either in the middle of the room or move against the wall. I wanted to use their great natural light and do a buffet style with food, beverages, and sweets as a beautiful focal point for the party.

There was plenty of space, and it all looked great! I bought the “BABY” letters at Michael’s and covered them in gold glitter to give it more of a pop!

Now, the flowers. You must be wondering where I got the flowers. I do have to say that I LOVED them! Holly from Flower Vibes made these beautiful arrangements for the sprinkle-themed baby shower. Aren’t they gorgeous?!

I had seen Holly’s work and knew that her aesthetic matched what I was going for. I told Holly what I wanted, and she nailed it! She is definitely worth a call for future events. 🙂 You should call her too!

Susan was so cute when she walked in. It made me smile seeing her face light up when she saw everything. 🙂
Of course, I decided to go with pink lemonade for the beverage since they were having a girl. This polka dot beverage dispenser was from Marshall’s, and the cute dairy glasses and sprinkles were from Michael’s.

The printout is from the DIY network post, but I wrote my own labels in Photoshop. I used Bombshell Pro as the font.

These straws were just perfect for the shower! (Also from Michael’s.) Mary Alice and I dipped the edge of the glasses in syrup and then dunked them in sprinkles. It totally added that extra “wow” factor! We were obsessed with how they came out.

Don’t Forget the Food!
The cupcakes were from Ooh La La. I did an assortment of flavors but wanted all of them to be frosted with vanilla frosting and, of course, topped with sprinkles!

I also ordered some cookies and macarons from Ooh La La for the guests to enjoy. The cookies were HUGE!

For food, since the shower started at 11 a.m., I ordered some sandwiches and deviled eggs from Nielsens Delicatessen. Various options are always best because you never know what your guests prefer.

Honoring Mama
Mary Alice and I also did a little banner for Susan’s chair that she would sit in when opening her gifts. I thought it turned out so cute!

Inside the “Congratulations” box was a little something I had gotten made for Susan.

I got her something special for her to wear. Holly, from Flower Vibes, made her a beautiful flower crown! I’m in love with flower crowns and have been for some time. When I heard that Holly makes them, I had to get one for Susan.

She looked so beautiful wearing it!

Susan’s daughter, Charlotte, was taking it all in, too. I will say she did love the straws and sprinkles.

I love this picture of mother and daughter. 🙂

And for being a baby sprinkle, Susan got quite a few gifts. It was a full-on shower of presents!

Then, it was time to open gifts!

This little girl stole the show!

I took notes of everything in my Erin Condren notebook while Susan opened her gifts. This way, she will know who got her what when she’s writing thank-you notes. If you have never checked out Erin Condren’s website, you must!

I got these balloons from Michael’s and went to Party Boy to have them filled with helium.
Another one of my BBP doulas also made it to Susan’s Sprinkle, Karen! I love these ladies.

Before everyone left, they had to grab a party favor! I got these super sweet, tiny picture frames and candles from, you guessed it, Michael’s. I printed a thank-you note inside the frames to align with the theme. Then, I printed the cute “sprinkled with love” printouts and glued them around the candles with Mary Alice’s help. We also burnt the wax a bit inside the candle so we could sprinkle some sprinkles on it so they would stay. They turned out so cute!

It was a fabulous baby sprinkle, and I was very pleased with how it all came together. This was my very first shower of anything to host, so I wanted it to be perfect. Everything came out exactly the way I was hoping. Susan absolutely deserved a nice celebration. She’s the type of person who goes above and beyond for everybody. She always has a smile on her face and sees the good in everything. She’s a true friend, a wonderful doula, a loving wife, and a fabulous mother. I love you, Susan! I’m super excited to be your doula again for this baby girl, and I can’t wait to meet her! 🙂
