Merry Christmas! The day is finally here. Santa has come, we’ve opened our presents, we have finished all the cooking, and now we’re enjoying this special day with our loved ones. It’s our favorite time of year and at Baby Chick we did a fun, little celebration to enjoy it with one another. I love hosting little parties, and I wanted to do something special for our team. Here’s a peek at what we did at our holiday party this year!

For the perfect bites, I ordered and picked up little sandwiches, fruit with dip, pasta salad and cookies from Central Market.

Rachel from Half Moon Lettering was super sweet and brought some macarons from Heritage Macarons for each of us. She even wrote our initials and drew a perfect Baby Chick logo on the macarons. They were gorgeous and extremely delicious!

To drink we made a tart lemonade (my favorite) and had some water available.

For the venue, I chose to host the party at one of the towers near the River Oaks District area. We had a lovely room and for decor I brought some of my Christmas decorations. I think it came out looking beautiful and festive.

I also picked up some hydrangeas and holly from Central Market and made my own little flower arrangements for the table.

For the end of our event I made sure that I had a little something sweet for them to take home as a party favor. I got these cute chocolate covered pretzels and had them by each person’s place setting.

And with every party I think it’s nice to have some sort of activity to do together. It gives your guests something extra special to enjoy and it really sets your event apart from the others. One year for our holiday company party we learned how to make our very own Christmas wreaths. This year I decided that having a private calligraphy class would be perfect!

I had Rachel from Half Moon Lettering teach us all the basics of modern calligraphy at our holiday party. You’ve seen Rachel’s work before. She did all of the signs at my baby shower! She’s incredibly talented and she teaches an amazing modern calligraphy workshop for beginners.

The workshop comes with all of the materials so our team was about to sit, eat and have fun learning this new skill.

We all had a great time chatting, eating, learning something new, and enjoying each other’s company. I can’t recommend this workshop enough. It’s perfect for showers, a girls night out, you name it! We now all have a new little trick that we can use when addressing letters, making place settings, or using it just because. 🙂
