Mocktail & Cocktail Recipe: One-Eyed Jack

October is the season of pumpkins, cinnamon and Halloween! We now have the perfect cocktail and mocktail for you to enjoy. The One Eyed Jack!

It’s officially fall, y’all! It’s my favorite time of the year. It’s the time for pies, hot chocolate, cinnamon, and the holidays. Halloween is quickly approaching so we wanted to present to you a cocktail that you can’t take your “eye” off of. 😉 Check out our perfect fall cocktail: the One-Eyed Jack!

One-Eyed Jack

Ingredients:

  • 1.5oz Wild Turkey Rye Whiskey
  • 0.75oz Orange Spice syrup
  • 4 dashes Peychaud’s bitters

Step 1: Pour 1.5oz Wild Turkey Rye Whiskey in a stirring vessel.

Step 2: Next, add 0.75oz Orange Spice syrup to your stirring vessel.

Step 3: Then add 4 dashes of Peychaud’s bitters.

Step 4: Add ice and stir the ingredients until glass begins to frost thoroughly.

Step 5: Strain into a double old fashioned glass.

Step 6: Top it off with crushed ice into a snow cone.

Step 7: Add the honeydew eye garnish then slowly pour luxardo maraschino cherry syrup over the eyeball garnish. It’s the perfect look for this Halloween treat!

How to Make the One-Eyed Jack Eyeball Garnish

Ingredients:

  • Honeydew
  • Luxardo Maraschino Cherries

How To:

  1. Slice a honeydew and use a melon baller to get a perfect ball.
  2. Freeze the melon balls in your freezer.
  3. Once the honeydew melon balls are frozen, slice the luxardo maraschino cherries in half then place one half onto the frozen melon balls to make an eye.
  4. Re-freeze the melon balls.
  5. Remove from freezer and use as garnishes.

This cocktail has a real kick and totally tastes like fall. The cinnamon flavor makes me feel like I should be sitting by a fire in a chunky sweater, slowly sipping on this bad boy. It’s a drink that will definitely warm you up and feel good all over. 🙂 Happy fall, y’all!

Ingredients:

  • 1oz Orange Spice syrup
  • 4 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
  • 1.5oz Water

Step 1: Pour 1oz of Orange Spice syrup to your stirring vessel.

Step 2: Add 4 dashes of of Peychaud’s bitters.

Step 3: Then pour 1.5oz of water to the stirring vessel.

Step 4: Stir all of the ingredients together in the stirring vessel until the glass begins to frost thoroughly.
