“Gratitude. For the most ‘rare’ and euphoric birth. Powered by love,” she wrote under the snap of her new little family. “Ender Ridley Aydin 7/14/2021” finished off the caption. They have been enjoying becoming a family of three over the past five days!

She and her screenwriter boyfriend, Alec Aydin, announced their pregnancy in January of 2021.

It seemed to be a low-key relationship, with not much speculation of their romance before the announcement. Despite the quietness of their relationship, Halsey has been vocal about her journey to motherhood. She spoke openly about a miscarriage she suffered in 2015 and publicly announced her struggles with endometriosis the following year. She got candid on an episode of The Doctors about her diagnosis and plan to freeze her eggs in early 2018. Despite her tough road, Halsey has now given birth to a healthy rainbow baby!

Her new album, “If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power,” is also an ode to motherhood. The cover art shows her and a child, with her breast exposed. She said she wanted to show “the joys and horrors of pregnancy and childbirth” and all the different ways women’s bodies are portrayed and accepted in society and media. We all know that breastfeeding in public and similar issues are a huge topic of discussion in motherhood, so we applaud Halsey for taking such a poetic stance.

We wish Halsey and her adorable family all the luck (and sleep!) they can get! Congratulations!

A cute young family walks along the sand by the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles, California. The father and mother hold their daughters hands, lifting her up when the waves come in. A much needed break from the city in the ocean air.

Vintage Disneyland park during the 1950's with the castle. Disneyland Park, originally Disneyland, is the first of two theme parks built at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, opened on July 17, 1955. It is the only theme park designed and built to completion under the direct supervision of Walt Disney. It was originally the only attraction on the property; its official name was changed to Disneyland Park to distinguish it from the expanding complex in the 1990s. It was the first Disney theme park.
