We’re at the end of the year and at the end of our Cocktail & Mocktail series. 🙁 We’ve had a blast sharing delicious libation recipes with you throughout the year to enjoy each month and on the weekends. Now that we are in December we have our final cocktail and mocktail that we think is the perfect finale. The Candy Land cocktail. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have. Cheers!
Candy Land
Ingredients:
- 1.5oz Dripping Springs Vodka
- 0.75oz Peppermint Syrup
- 0.5oz Cherry Heering
- 1 candy cane
Step 1: Add 0.5oz of cherry herring to the base of your collins glass.
Step 2: Pour 1.5 oz of Dripping Springs Vodka to your shaker.
Step 3: Then add 0.75 oz of peppermint syrup to your shaker and get ready to shake!
Step 4: Now slowly pour over crushed ice and swizzle to make cascade.
Step 5: Garnish with crushed peppermint candies and/or with a candy cane.
This cocktail tastes like happy in a glass. It’s a great dessert drink and it goes down so smooth. It will kick any sweet cravings that you may have and leave you wanting another. This will definitely be a holiday party drink that I will be making!

Virgin “Candy Land” | Mocktail Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1oz peppermint syrup
- 1.5oz cherry syrup
- 1 candy cane
Step 1: Add 1.5oz of cherry syrup to the base of your collins glass.
Step 2: Pour 1 oz of peppermint syrup into your chilled shaker and shake!
Step 3: Add crushed iced to your collins glass and then slowly pour your chilled peppermint syrup into your glass.
Step 4: Top your glass with more crushed ice and lightly swizzle to create a cascade.
Step 5: Finally garnish with some crushed peppermint candy or a candy cane.
Ta-da! A delicious and sweet way to end the year. 🙂
The syrups that we used in this recipe were homemade. Here are the ingredients and directions on how to make them:
Cherry Syrup
- 1 cup Washing Sweet Cherries, chopped and de-seeded
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
Bring all ingredients to a boil and let simmer for 20 minutes. Strain and let cool.
Peppermint Syrup
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp peppermint extract
Simmer water and sugar till it dissolves. Add peppermint extract. Let cool.
