Happy Labor Day, Mommy Chicks! For this month’s featured Mommy Chick, I have chosen the incredibly cool and inspiring Trisha Enriquez from No Tummy Mommy. She is the type of mama that pushes me to plan ahead and get in my workouts. Since today is Labor day, I felt like Trisha is the perfect Mommy Chick for September since she knows how to get to work and stay in shape. 😉 Please welcome our September Mommy Chick, Trisha!
Hi, Trisha! When I first discovered your website, No Tummy Mommy, I loved your mission and how you have created a business that caters to inspiring mothers to be healthy. What inspired you to start your company?
Thank you, Nina! I realized after having a baby how important it was to be my healthiest and happiest self. It is also so rewarding to help other mamas feel the same. Plus, our little ones deserve us at our best.
How did you come up with your business name No Tummy Mommy and what does it mean? I always love hearing the stories of how people come up with their business names.
My brother nicknamed me that after I had my daughter and it just stuck. I was always working out with her and he made a joke calling me ‘No Tummy Mommy’ and the rest is history!
Tell us more about your training and experience and how you became a health and fitness expert.
It started with working for one of North America’s largest sports supplement companies on the marketing team for women’s weight-loss products. Once upon a time, I had also stepped on stage for a fitness competition. Fitness has always been a passion of mine and helping others, particularly mothers, is something I love doing!
What’s the #1 thing that you want people to take away from your site when they visit your site or your blog?
My work is entirely about helping mothers feel more comfortable and confident with their postpartum bodies. The ultimate goal is to encourage building healthy lifestyle habits that mothers can take with them for an entire lifestyle.
What do you want all women/mothers to know when it comes to getting healthy?
We can be so hard on ourselves at times, so I believe the most important thing to remember about this journey is to focus on PROGRESS OVER PERFECTION.

What does life look like running a business, blogging and being a mom? How do you do it all?
I am still learning along the way. Some days are tougher than others. I still work a full-time 9-5 job and hope to eventually focus full-time on No Tummy Mommy. I try to set realistic goals for myself and use my daughter as a motivation to keep going!
Do you have a lifesaving work out product?
I do offer a 30-day program which is an awesome way to kickstart a mother’s fitness and health journey. I am working on the next launch and will announce these details soon. Stay tuned and be sure to subscribe to our website or follow us on Instagram to stay in the loop.
What’s your number one fitness tip that you tell all of your clients?
Preparation is key, so plan your meals and snacks in advance and schedule your workouts like you would a business meeting. Commit!
I, myself, definitely need to get better at this…
What’s the greatest lesson (or lessons) that motherhood has taught you?
Every single day is unpredictable, so just GO WITH IT!
As a veteran mama, what’s a piece of advice that you wish you would have known and would like to share with expecting moms and/or brand new mothers?
I wish someone told me to invest in dry shampoo … haha … no one told me there would be a lot of dirty hair days!
What advice would you tell a mom if she decided to start her own business?
I would tell her to just do it … life is too short not to try!
Who is your mommy inspiration and why?
I admire Jessica Alba — she is a beautiful and strong mama! I love the Honest Company because it’s a collection of toxin-free goods which is so necessary when you’re a mother.
What are your greatest hopes for your daughter’s future?
I want her to be empowered to follow her dreams … whatever they may be, I will be there to support her along the way.
What are your greatest hopes for women and mothers everywhere?
That we can support and love each other and not compete with one another.
What does “living the chic(k) life” mean to you?
To me it means helping women to be the best version of themselves. 🙂
