Welcome Sly! Emily Ratajkowski is a Mom.

Emily Ratajkowski has taken to her personal Instagram account to let her fans and followers know that she has given birth to her first child. In the photo, the model cradles her newborn close to her breast with soft lighting and the feeling of an angelic atmosphere. She captioned the shot, “Sylvester Apollo Bear has joined us earth side. Sly arrived 3/8/21 on the most surreal, beautiful, and love-filled morning of my life.”

Her Pregnancy

With so many decisions to make regarding birth, the new mom and her partner decided quickly on one of them. The model made headlines when she penned an article for Vogue titled, “Emily Ratajkowski on Pregnancy and Why She Doesn’t Want to Reveal the Gender of Her Baby”. She starts the piece writing, “When my husband and I tell friends that I’m pregnant, their first question after ‘Congratulations’ is almost always, ‘Do you know what you want?’ We like to respond that we won’t know the gender until our child is 18 and that they’ll let us know then.” This method of thinking seems to be wildly accepted and an even more encouraged approach to pregnancy now. The piece is glued together with photographs of the expecting mother’s growing bump, which she has also showcased on social media.

Emily kept her audience in tune during her pregnancy, touching on the more intimate and personal details of expecting. She said, “Pregnancy is innately lonely; it’s something a woman does by herself, inside her body, no matter what her circumstances may be.” I think as mothers, we can all sympathize and understand the complex wave of emotions preparing for a child can bring. We can only hope that she continues to share her honesty with the world throughout this new role.

Welcome to motherhood, Emily! May Sly and your family settle in nicely, together. Congratulations!

Vintage Disneyland park during the 1950's with the castle. Disneyland Park, originally Disneyland, is the first of two theme parks built at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, opened on July 17, 1955. It is the only theme park designed and built to completion under the direct supervision of Walt Disney. It was originally the only attraction on the property; its official name was changed to Disneyland Park to distinguish it from the expanding complex in the 1990s. It was the first Disney theme park.
