Hosting a Galentine’s Day brunch is a great way to celebrate the incredible women in your life and recognize their amazing work and big hearts. We recently hosted a Galentine’s Day event and think it came together pretty cute and figured that you all might want a peek for some ideas for your next Galentine’s brunch.
How to Host the Perfect Galentine’s Day Brunch
To host the perfect Galentine’s event (or any event for that matter), you need a few things:
1. A Venue With Good Lighting
We had our brunch at a restaurant called Beaver’s on Westheimer. (Seriously, could there be a better name for this event? haha!) It had been perfect for our little outdoor gathering for our girls’ date. I knew this location was perfect since it was central to the city (easy for everyone to get to), and I also knew that our photographer would get some fabulous photos since we were outside. It worked perfectly!
2. Gorgeous Flowers
Flowers bring your event to life! That’s at least my opinion. Like these flowers from Arte & Design. They gave height to the table and were perfect for our feminine Galentine’s look. Everyone was gushing!
3. Pretty Linens
I feel like good linens complete the whole look of the table. It’s the foundation that every tablescape needs. This lovely floral table runner and hot pink napkins from House of Hough were exactly what our tables needed to bring the whole look together! The texture on the runner was also beautiful with our flowers.
4. Calligraphy Place Settings
To let your guests know where they are sitting, think of a creative way to display their assigned seats. Kristara from Kristara Calligraphy thought of a fabulous idea, found different pink and red lipstick colors and wrote our names on the lipstick tubes. Perfection! All the ladies LOVED it!
5. Delicious Libations
What’s a Galentine’s party without a good cocktail or two?! 😉 We were so spoiled during our party with the most delicious champagne cocktail and a super yummy sangria!!
6. Tasty Menu
The brunch menu had everything our guests were craving. We enjoyed the food so much that we didn’t have the time to photograph it, but take my word for it — it was delicious! So, when choosing your venue for your Galentine’s event, you must pick a place with a diverse menu for all your guests. Take into account any food allergies, as well.
7. Decorations
Adding the small decor touches is the cherry on top of any event. We had cute balloons from Chrissy B Events Shop, “Be Mine” napkins from Natalie Chang Studio, a “Sip Sip Hooray, it’s Galentine’s Day” table sign from The Cottage Creative, cocktail stirrers from Couronne Boutique, balloons that our calligrapher wrote on, artwork by Atlantic Yogi, and a precious purse!
It’s also nice to have a place where you give credit to all the vendors that donated any services or products as a thank-you! This way, your guests can tag and credit the appropriate businesses for their beautiful work.
8. Photo Booth with Props
A photo booth is always a highlight at every event. Your guests will stand in line to take cute photos with their phones. This heart piñata from Katie K. Franklin was so cute with our “Happy Galentine’s Day” banner from Mailbox Happiness and these adorable pink and red tassels from Jamboree Party Box.
And you need to have photo props to make the pictures extra fun. 🙂 We loved the photo props from EH Social Events and the custom photo props from Couronne Boutique. They were the perfect addition to our photos.
Love our Team Baby Chick ladies! We missed the ones who couldn’t attend!
9. Dessert
Ummm, hello! You have to have something sweet to end your event. My absolute FAVORITE cake in the entire world is Nothing Bundt Cakes’ White Chocolate Raspberry cake. It is seriously the best thing you will ever put in your mouth. I order this for every birthday, holiday, shower, you name it! Nothing Bundt Cake is nationwide, so you MUST order from them for your next event.
And with a cake, you have to give it something to wow your guests. We know this cake topper from Pop Fizz Cheers would be a hit at our Galentine’s brunch! And it sure was. 🙂
10. Swag Bags
Your guests will be so grateful if you take the time to put together some goody bags for them. Since Galentine’s Day was created by Parks & Rec, we thought these “Treat Yo Self” tote bags from Turtle’s Soup would be perfect. And they were!
We filled them with a few of our favorite things for a Galentine’s party. First, a comfy T-shirt that says it all (this “Wine is My Valentine” tee from Cinta Events was EVERYTHING). I literally went home right after the event and wore the shirt. 🙂 Secondly, a cute souvenir cup, like this Cuter than Cupid stadium cup from Busy Bee Gift. We gave each guest a stack of five. And these hilarious “Ovaries Before Brovaries” stickers from Sleepy Mountain. These gave the gals quite a laugh. The final touch was the confetti bags from Jamboree Party Box.
