10 Things Every Mama Wants at Target Right Now
Target: the very name conjures up ecstasy, excitement, and the scent of a long-forgotten popcorn stand at the front of the store, in favor of a Starbucks or Jamba Juice. No? Just me? Either way, it feels as though the store has become synonymous with “joyful, budget-wrecking escape” for many mamas, myself included. What’s new and high on our list at Target, this month?
10 Things Every Mama Wants at Target Right Now
Tarjay is ALWAYS killing it in the literary game—you can find new releases ranging from spicy beach reads to actually spicy cookbooks on sale the majority of the time, while also counting on the fact that staple reads you’ve been meaning to pick up will likely be there as well. Browse their gorgeous aisles and grab a book (or six)—and it’s okay by us if not a single one of those is a board book about puppies or llamas. The Book of Unknown Americans and Matchmaker’s List are top faves right now.

2. Something gorgeous from Hearth and Hand
Someone at Target is listening: like, REALLY listening. They heard our wistful woes about needing snazzy home décor at a fraction of the costs they’re found elsewhere, because let’s be real here: you’re not going to high-end boutiques to purchase breakable, smashable wares while you have babies learning to toddle, toddlers learning to draw, and preschoolers learning to destroy—erm, design–things themselves. Hearth and Hand is the brainchild of Chip and Joanna Gaines: the people responsible for bringing sexy/Farmhouse back. The clean and calm colors, and textures will have you ready to hand over your dough in favor of play-dough less pillows, throws, and more.
3. Some Amazing Underwear for ANY Body
Target hasn’t been the first go-to for beautiful undergarments for long, but they’re about to be. In tons of body-conscious and friendly sizes, Auden is Target’s newest line of insanely adorable and surprisingly budget-friendly bras, panties, and underthings, so go ahead and get yourself something special: you deserve it.
4. A New Dress
They’ve really outdone themselves on the clothing front. Gone are the days of begrudgingly grabbing a few tees at Target with your mom—your closet is about to get a serious upgrade. Their newest clothing lines—A New Day, Knox Rose, and Universal Threads—make it look like you actually had time to pair an outfit and shoes to, you know, coordinate. I’m about as low maintenance as they come, but love feeling like I look fly while rocking the mom-bun (and fly-aways).
5. Fun New Beauty Products
Very little convincing to do here, people. TREAT. YO. SELF. They have hundreds of cosmetic, hair, and beauty options at the Targ-mahal, and some for just a couple of dollars. Smell, look, and feel your best–because Target runs should be FUN. Kristin Ess is a new, exclusive brand of luxury hair care products that work to give you #hairgoals.
6. A Great Pair of Earrings
I feel like I can’t walk by this section at my local Target without ooh-ing over their fun styles a bit! The jewelry here is definitely a great price, and ranges from classic to on-trend and flashy. Target’s jewelry game will have your littles wanting to play dress up, and maybe even inspire a real dress-up scenario: hello, date night! BaubleBar has an exclusive line, SUGARFIX, for Target that’s not to be missed!
I tend to forget that Target sells wine–and that it’s so economically priced, as well. I love a good rosé, and I encourage you to fight anyone who calls your love for the cheap stuff basic: sometimes it’s coffee and sometimes it’s wine, but moms need a small daily indulgence when we can snag one.
8. Twinkle lights
There’s something so alluring about the soft light of twinkly string lights: whether you snag some for your outdoor space or for your little one’s bedtime lights, Target has a killer selection that are reasonably priced, and often go on big-time sale at the beginning and end of the season as well.
Whether you’re an epicurean or a takeout-and-TV mama, you still have people to feed. Why not do so on gorgeous (plastic) plates, or using a new kitchen appliance or two? The Cravings by Chrissy Teigen line is high on my wishlist, and I can barely boil water.
10. Candy on sale
If you’re lucky, you might find some excellent candy on steep sale at Target. Easter candy that is nowhere near its expiration date, and is pennies on the dollar? Reese’s in the shape of an egg, heart, or even (judge me, go ahead) Christmas tree? Count. Me. In.
We’re always pro-you, pro-treating yourself, and pro-Target. Go on: make us proud.
