Mocktail & Cocktail Recipe: Watermelon Mojito

It's been a long summer, mamas! Here's a refreshing and delicious cocktail and mocktail recipe to enjoy over the weekend!

Since it’s summertime and yesterday was National Watermelon Day, we thought creating the perfect Watermelon Mojito would be the best way to kick off the weekend. It’s super refreshing, and we know that the whole family will love our “mocktail” Watermelon Mojito, too. Here’s how you make both!

Watermelon Mojito

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz white rum
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 4 mint leaves
  • 2 watermelon chunks

Step 1: Get a tall, skinny glass and place a piece of watermelon at the bottom. Fill the rest of your glass with ice.

Step 2: Next, grab your cocktail shaker and place some mint leaves and watermelon in the bottom.

Step 3: Now pour an ounce of simple syrup and add it to your shaker.

Step 4: Measure out an ounce of lime juice and also add that to your shaker too.

Step 5: Then add two ounces of white rum. 🙂

Step 6: Now shake that baby up!

Step 7: Once fully mixed pour your Watermelon Mojito into your tall glass and enjoy. It’s so refreshing!

Step 8: Finally, garnish your cocktail with a little mint and a piece of watermelon. Tada! The perfect summer drink to enjoy this Friday!

Yum! I loved this cocktail when I wasn’t pregnant because it was so refreshing. It really is perfect for summertime. Watermelon is currently in season, so there shouldn’t be a problem finding some yummy watermelon. If you are interested in making a virgin watermelon mojito that the whole family can enjoy, I’ve included the ingredients and directions below.

Virgin Watermelon Mojito | Mocktail Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 2 oz coconut water
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 4 mint leaves
  • 2 watermelon chunks

HOW TO PREPARE:

  1. Get a tall, skinny glass and place a piece of watermelon at the bottom. Fill the rest of your glass with ice.
  2. Next, grab your cocktail shaker and place some mint leaves and watermelon in the bottom.
  3. Measure out an ounce of lime juice and also add that to your shaker.
  4. Then, add two ounces of coconut water
  5. Now, shake that baby up!
  6. Once fully mixed, pour your Watermelon Mojito into your tall glass.
  7. Finally, garnish your cocktail with a little mint, a brown sugar spoon, and a piece of watermelon. Yummy!
