Having just celebrated Mother’s Day, we loved getting to spend quality time with our partners and little ones who make being a mommy so wonderful. Here at Baby Chick, we like to celebrate mothers every day so we also love the idea of a simple soirée just for mamas, a girlfriend get-together filled with laughter and mimosas! So join us for a bubbly and a sweet Mommy Chic(k) Post Mother’s Day Soirée!
Don’t worry with decking out the whole house; keep it easy and fun with a petite but fancy bar cart! We adore this gilded bamboo cart from one of our favorite home boutiques, Society Social! Dress up your bar cart with whatever pretties you have on hand. Think mugs filled with fresh flowers, colorful paper straws, classic cocktail napkins, and your favorite stemware. You truly can’t go wrong!
Nothing is more festive than a tissue paper garland! They are the perfect flirty and feminine touch for a Mommy Chic(k) Soirée. If you’re feeling crafty, you could even DIY-it using THIS great tutorial, but we’ll be purchasing ours from our go-to party shop on Etsy: The Flair Exchange
Now that you’ve set up the perfect party station, it’s time to pour the cocktails! We love a good traditional Mimosa bar with fun garnishes such as strawberries, orange slices and even frozen grapes. However, if you’re looking to up your brunch game and impress your girlfriends with something a little different, this Southern mama recommends my Texas Grapefruit Mimosa recipe!
These pretty pink mimosas made by pairing your preferred Prosecco with a delicious as-big-as-Texas grapefruit. I get so many compliments whenever I make these, and I’m sure you will too!
- (1) 750ml bottle of chilled Prosecco
- (3) 3.5 cups of fresh grapefruit juice (about 4-5 large grapefruits)
- Simple syrup
Mix up the frosty Prosecco and the fresh squeezed grapefruit juice in a large pitcher and then gently stir in simple syrup to taste. We prefer them sweet in the South! Garnish with a fragrant sage leaf for an extra unique Mommy Chic(k) touch and enjoy!
