Momma-To-Be Gift Guide

A couple weeks ago my very best friend called to tell me that she’s pregnant with her first baby. I was ECSTATIC and in tears, just totally overwhelmed with happiness for her and her husband. (I was also in tears because she lives in Denver while I’m in Houston and I couldn’t give her the biggest hug ever.)

After it set in that she’s on her way to motherhood, I decided that I wanted to do something to celebrate her announcement. Soon enough everything will be about that little bundle of joy (or joys!) so it’s important to focus on momma too! I began thinking back to what I really used or wanted in the beginning of my pregnancy with Fischer and came up with five items that I feel she’ll not only use often but also absolutely love. Gift-giving is, after all, about knowing the recipient. That being said, I think a lot of mommas-to-be would enjoy the products I’ve put together for my bestie so I’ve decided to share them with you as a gift-guide! Of course, no gift is complete without the perfect wrapping and card so I popped into Paper Source, purveyor of beautiful papers, boxes, and cards for all of my supplies. I hope she loves everything and that you get some inspiration for a gift of your own!

Still not sure what to gift? Here are some other ideas that she may love!

Baby Bump Bundle

If you can’t decide on items to include in a box of our own, the women behind the Baby Bump Bundle have you covered! They curate boxes by trimester so you can send just one or you can get your bestie a subscription for each trimester. I did a subscription for my cousin before she had her twin girls and she loved every single item they sent her.

Gift Cards

Though slightly less personal, try sending her gift cards to some of her favorite places or for some of her favorite things. Think pre-natal massage at a local spa, a night to indulge at one of her favorite eateries or dessert bars, shopping at a local maternity boutique, or even a series of prenatal classes at her favorite yoga/barre/pilates studio!

Whether it’s a gift card, a box full of goodies, flowers, or even just a beautiful card there is no doubt that your friend will feel special and loved when they receive your warm thoughts and congratulations for this most special of times!

xoxo,

Lanie
