My favorite season for shopping is absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, FALL! However, as a mom on-the-go I tend to live in the same basics day in and day out. It’s important that my clothes and accessories are not only fashionable, but fit well and are also functional! That being said, I do love any excuse to upgrade my “mom-iform” and now that autumn is approaching I’m doing just that!

Nordstrom is my go-to, one-stop-shop for making additions to my mommy wardrobe. I feel like their customer service was created specifically with a busy woman in mind. Free shipping and hassle-free returns make shopping their site a breeze, so it’s no surprise that when it came time to pick up some fall essentials for this mama’s closet that’s exactly where I went!

What I love most about these fall mom-iform must have pieces is that they are very versatile and wearable for any mom of any size (even rocking the bump). I know that I personally feel most confident when my clothes have a flattering and comfortable fit, and we’re certain most mamas feel the exact same, so you can be sure our style selections will be beautiful on every body!

We’re certain you’re going to adore these fashionable, fall updates just as much as we do! So what are our mommy chic(k) must haves for fall 2016? Here’s what you should include on your own shopping list!

1. An oversized saddle bag.

We love the saddle bag trend this season, but when it’s doubling for diaper duty we need something a bit bigger for our baby swag! Check out the bags we’re loving here, here & here.

2. Amber toned, tortoise shell shades.

This fall, we’re covering up those sleepless nights with the baby by snagging some sexy sunnies. A slight cat eye works wonderfully on any face shape, as they tend to give the illusion of “lift” at the outer corners of the eye. My favorite pairs can be found here, here & here.

3. Be stunning in statement studs.

I love a good tassel earring just as much as the next girl, but when you’re toting little ones around who like to grab and pull, they just are not (always) practical. Studs can make just as much of a statement, and I’m sharing three that are really speaking to me here, here & here.

4. Pick up a pretty poncho.

Oh, ponchos… how I love thee, let me count the ways! First, you can literally wear a poncho with a white tee and leggings, cute ballet flats and look totally chic(k) without even trying. Second, when your feeling a little bloated postpartum, they cover all the right places. Third, they double as a nursing cover effortlessly! I’m partial these pretties here, here & here.

5. Anything but basic booties.

Fall booties, how original right? I know what you’re thinking, but we’re not talking about your basic booties today. Think deep ankle cut outs, fringe or a pop of color. Kick off your fall mom-iform here, here & here.

6. Off the shoulder for on-trend style.

Summer’s undoubtedly biggest trend was off the shoulder tops, and it’s here to stay for fall! Re-imagined to incorporate fall fabrics (velvet is huge this year) and autumnal shades like navy and burgundy. What tops am I eyeing? Grab them here, here & here.

7. Stress-free distressed denim.

Give me a good fitting skinny jean with plenty of stretch, and I’m one happy mama! But add some cool distressing in a deep luxurious dye wash and I’m strutting across the preschool parking lot like I’m Gigi Hadid on the catwalk (or maybe more like her mom? Ha!). Every woman needs at least one pair of stress free, perfect fit jeans… find yours here, here & here.

Any fall mom-iform must haves I missed? Tell me what pieces you’re picking up this season so I can add them to my shopping list!
