A Chick Guide to Father’s Day
Father’s Day is fast approaching! I don’t know about you ladies, but five years and three baby girls later — I am still just as obsessed with my husband as I was the day I met him (if not more so). Watching him with our precious daughters is enough to make me weak in the knees. I fall in love with him all over again. So why not take the time to show our Baby Daddies just how much we appreciate them? Here’s a few Father’s Day gift ideas to show ‘em how much we care…
For the Always-on-the-Go Dad: Coleman UK Chest Cooler ($40)
My husband loves his Yeti coolers, but they are heavy. Not exactly throw a couple drinks and sandwiches inside for a quick Day Trip material. He has mentioned he would like to have a smaller cooler, preferably something on wheels — so I found this University of Kentucky cooler that I know he’ll love just as much as his Yeti. (My husband is basically the biggest Wildcats fan ever.) I am planning to stuff it full with some of his favorites for the Big Day: whiskey of choice (Jack Daniels), favorite chips, and ice cream. Basically the perfect sports-loving man gift for the Dad-on-the-Go.
And here’s a few more options, just in case the man in your life is rooting for a different team!
For the Dad Who Loves to Camp: a Weber Portable Grill ($229)
Anyone who knows anything about camping and/or portable grills can tell you that Weber is basically one of the best in the biz. My hubby has been drooling over this particular grill for quite awhile now. Chances are, if you’re husband also enjoys camping, fishing, cooking under the stars, and all things outdoors, he will probably also like this grill. It seems like a reasonable conclusion.
Already got a grill? No problem! Here’s a cool set of tools your “grill master” is sure to love!
For the Dad Who Loves to Fish: Vineyard Vines Binnacle Check Harbor Shirt in Antigua Green ($125)
A stylish fishing shirt is always an easy buy when shopping for my husband. What I love about Vineyard Vines’ (performance) fishing shirts, is that he can easily wear them — even without a pole in hand. Gotta love the practicality! Plus, he looks adorable in them. Wink. Your husband might also…
For the Athletic Dad: Custom Nikes ($85)
What Dad (athletic or otherwise) wouldn’t love receiving a pair of custom sneaks for Father’s Day? I am planning to order these Kentucky Wildcats kicks (from Nike) for my sweetie —like I mentioned before, he is a huge UK fan. And he burns through sneakers like it’s his job. (He really needs a new pair.) I think he is going to freak — in a good way — when he sees these babies. #winning
And here’s a few more options for you to choose from just in case Nike has your team!
For the Fancy Pants Dad: Crystal Whiskey Decanter ($30)
Did I mention Mr. Tomes is from Nashville? Boyfriend loves his Tennessee whiskey. We were recently at a friend’s house, and he saw this exact decanter on their counter — I kid you not, there was a sparkle in his eye. What can I say? He likes fancy things. (That’s probably why he likes me.) This crystal liquor decanter seems like the perfect addition to any dapper gentleman’s bar.
For the Not-So-Fancy (But Equally Awesome) Dad: Beer Cooler + Beer Glass
Does your hubby or dad prefer “Guys Nights,” or casual outings with a good beer? These two options are perfect for Father’s Day!
For the Timeless Dad: A Sleek Watch Never Goes out of Style
For the Hip, Health-Conscious Dad: Fitbit + S’well Water Bottle
So he can track his steps, and stay hydrated in style!
Wishing you the happiest of Father’s Days, with your hunkalicious Baby Daddies, Mommy Chicks! Watch some baseball, eat some burgers + drink some brews, and don’t forget to throw in a sensual foot rub! 😉 It’s his weekend, so make him feel special!
